Capretta has a proven record for assisting his residents

To the Editor:

I served with Councilman Capretta for 3 years while on Brunswick City Council. I witnessed how Anthony Capretta cares and advocates for his Ward 4 residents. First, he works closely with the Police Chief and requests police assistance with radar detection in neighborhoods where there is a high volume of speeding complaints. Second, Capretta was a big help for one of his residents when a city snow plow accidently smashed and buried the resident’s cable box on the tree lawn.

The resident had no cable or Internet connection, and the cable company refused to come out and install a new cable box, because it was buried under 4 feet of snow. When Capretta found out that nobody would help his resident, he took it upon himself and drove over to the resident’s house. The snow was deep and heavy, so he discussed the emergency with a council colleague.

The colleague offered to stop by and give extra help. Together, and 45 minutes later they dug out the cable box and made access for the cable company to come out and install a new cable box on the tree lawn. Capretta has a proven record for assisting his residents.
